🔐 The cheat code for social media · The Bunker #121
The only thing that truly matters to be consistent.
There’s something incredibly underrated that very few people talk about when it comes to growing on social media.
It’s not just content quality.
It’s not just consistency.
The real key lies in content scheduling.
Quality content + scheduling = growth
I always get the same question:
"How can I be more consistent? How do you manage to stay active all the time?"
Or they tell me: "You seem to be everywhere on social media!"
I’m not always online. I just schedule everything in advance.
Creating quality content takes time, energy, and creativity.
But if you don’t have a system to publish consistently, all that effort goes to waste.
Posting whenever you “have time” doesn’t work.
Posting whenever you “feel inspired” isn’t sustainable.
What really makes a difference is having a content calendar and automating your posts.
In fact, I usually don’t post manually on each platform one by one.
I use external tools that allow me to schedule and cross-post, publishing to multiple platforms at once.
That way, it looks like I’m super active, but in reality, I’m just well-organized. I schedule posts 10 days in advance across six platforms simultaneously.
For example, I post on Mastodon and Threads, yet I only logged into those platforms once to create my account—I’ve never actually visited them since then.
The creators you see growing aren’t the ones improvising daily. They are the ones who have structured their strategy so that their content works for them.
You can’t rely on motivation
You can’t rely on motivation.
You have to rely on consistency.
Motivation is volatile—it comes and goes.
But consistency builds habits, and habits create results.
There’s a psychological phenomenon called the "discontinuity effect." It happens when you interrupt a routine or stop doing something you’ve been working on for a long time.
Losing progress can be even more demotivating, making it feel much harder to start again.
On the other hand, when you rely on consistency, even on days when you don’t feel like it, just sticking to your routine helps you maintain progress and reinforces long-term motivation.
It’s like physical training.
Progress is cumulative, but if you stop working out for weeks, getting back into shape will take twice the effort.
The same goes for content creation.
If you stop your progress, you risk losing all the momentum you’ve built.
The toughest week
This week, something happened that made me reflect.
It was one of the hardest weeks emotionally.
Nothing bad happened.
I just felt the weight of an entire year of non-stop work, topped with these last 10 exhausting days.
When you go through periods like this, when you feel drained, the last thing you want to do is create content.
But this is where scheduling becomes crucial.
Because even when I don’t have the energy to post, my content keeps going out.
Because I already scheduled it in advance.
The key is preparing for these moments.
If you rely on your mood to create content, your social media growth will be inconsistent.
But if you have a system in place, your growth will continue even on days when you can’t give 100%.
The importance of ideas
Another crucial element is: Ideas and creativity.
I don’t always have new ideas, and if I were improvising daily, I’d never have anything good to post.
When I see something interesting, I save it. Later, I turn it into a post for another day.
That way, I’m constantly collecting inspiration, and when content creation day comes, all I have to do is organize and write.
And if I don’t have ideas that day? It doesn’t matter—because I’m not rushing to post something last-minute.
The real shortcut
If you truly want to grow on social media without depending on your daily energy, start scheduling your content.
Batch-create your content. Dedicate one day a week to producing multiple posts at once. Record several videos, write multiple tweets, or design a series of Instagram posts.
Use scheduling tools. Tools like Typefully. These tools ensure your content gets published automatically without you having to do it manually.
Plan your content calendar. Decide when and where you’ll publish. Plan weeks in advance so you always have something ready.
Leverage evergreen content. Not everything has to be reactive or trend-based. Timeless content can be recycled and scheduled to remain relevant over time.
In fact, I’d recommend you not focus on creating viral content and just be yourself. That will last much better.
Test, analyze, and adjust. It’s not just about posting for the sake of posting. Measure what works best and refine your strategy accordingly.
Still, you need to be yourself, but maybe you just have to package it differently?
Try this for a few weeks, and you’ll see how your content starts working for you.
And, if you’re serious about improving, you need a system.
Something to help you stay on track.
To plan your progress.
To organize your projects.
That’s why I created the Freelancer Notion Bundle.
A system designed to help freelancers stay focused, structured, and efficient.
Just a clear, organized way to grow your skills and your business.
