🏀 You're not lacking talent, you're lacking reps · The Bunker #126
Think about it.
The more you drive, the better you drive.
The more you train, the better you train.
The more you design, the better you design.
The more you put yourself out there, the more confident you become.
I don’t think we realize how much we underestimate the power of practice.
And seriously, don’t take this as one of those “just practice and you'll get better” kind of posts. It’s not that. I mean it. Really think about it.
It’s not magic. It’s practice. It’s repetition. It’s flight hours. It’s trying. Failing. Taking small steps forward that seem insignificant at first, but over time, they change everything.
And most of all, it’s about confidence.
Because it’s not just about improving your technical skills.
It’s about reducing your doubt.
And when you doubt less, you make decisions faster.
You design with more clarity. You sell with more conviction. You communicate more naturally.
You believe in your own work.
A designer told me the other day: “I used to spend days figuring out the layout for a website. Now I can build a solid layout in 30 minutes.” The difference? He’s done over 50 real projects in the past year.
Not because he’s smarter. Not because he’s more talented. But because he’s done it more times.
And this applies to everything, not just design. Writing proposals. Replying to emails. Negotiating prices. Talking to clients. All of it.
You don’t need the best portfolio to succeed as a freelancer. You just need to do more.
More proposals. More projects. More mistakes. More conversations. More launches. More posts that flop. More ideas that no one gets. More imperfect work.
And each one of those reps trains you.
Each one gives you a little more experience.
And that little more turns into a lot more confidence tomorrow.
Here’s where it gets interesting: studies show that even a tiny bit of consistent practice leads to massive results over time. That’s the power of compounding. Improving just 1% a day doesn’t sound like much… until you see what it becomes in a year.
James Clear breaks it down in Atomic Habits: if you improve 1% each day, you’ll be 37 times better in a year. Not because you did something huge. But because you did something consistently.
Even the smallest practice adds up. And it changes everything.
That’s why my products aren’t designed to help you do less.
They’re built to help you do more, with less friction. So you can focus on doing, instead of second-guessing every step.
Koala UI helps you design fast without worrying about systems. No getting stuck in the details.

Until next time,
Jordi Espinosa.
